Where You Live

I know where you live. I’ve been there a million times. Whenever I visit you, I know exactly how to get there. You are a fixed component of my world, not a flickering moment which passes by.
You are like a home and I know where it is.

I visit you because I know where you live. Everything there is easy. I know where you’re sleeping, eating and reading.

Sometimes I get a bit sad when the order on your bookshelf changed. And I miss the photo that once stood on the drawer. There is always movement, always change.

I know where you live. I don’t need any maps. I can close my eyes and walk the way. I walked it so often, my legs remember every stone and every step.

You are like a home and I know where it is.
