Ain't No Moonshine When She's Gone πŸŒ•

The crisp air whips her hair past her eyes towards the sea.
The soft sound of water hitting stone fills the wind much like salt, subtle but never-ending.
Right here she is at home alone with her thoughts and the tide's sigh of contentment.
Fascination wrapping around her shoulders as she watches sea creatures at peace in their always changing landscape.
Something about these miniature worlds always seems like magic - like they don’t belong here.
Too pure for a man-made world.
She doesn’t belong in the sun.
She is meant to live among the stars - to help the moon pull the sea into place at each shifting tide.
Infinite together, in a never-ending cycle of movement...

For now, she sits inhaling the closest thing to peace she can reach.
Letting sand run through her fingertips, as for now, the stars are just out of reach.
Even as the moon begins calling her name from the glowing horizon she smiles.
Whispering her secrets to the water's edge in the hopes one of the million colorful lives may care enough to listen.
All the response she gets is the sound of a wave breaking like glass in a far away room; tragic yet tangible.
She stands and makes her way back up the sheer cliffside to face the end of another human day - a reprieve from the suns harsh rays.

"She told them she is patiently waiting - to take her place by the moon and among the stars."
