Crystallize

The birds soar high,

Above the rush of waves.

And above the crystallized ocean,

Into the bright, blue sky.

The chilling breeze grazes my bare shoulders,

Providing relief from the sun’s heat.

I look towards the rocks

That break the water’s barrier.

Madness ensues on the other side,

Where the water turns dark,

And the wind picks up.

But behind these natural walls

I stand in clear water.

A spectrum of green and blue,

Gleaming.

As if it possessed diamonds

And treasure.

But all it contains is me,

It’s explorer.
