Rolling down a hillside

Out of control

By the birds’ cry

Lighting bugs

Begging to be contained

A room full of reckless things

Contrary and confused

No curfews

For this catastrophe

Calming

In a pool of teal liquor

And hidden intangible intellects

Sipping something unscrewed

salted and sunbathed

Illuminated by bulbs broken but beautiful all the same

Someone without a name

A curtain closing

Doors unopened

Screaming their fury

Scantily clad sanity

Swimming away from the shore

into dark blue - ice-cold waves

Promising a better tomorrow if you let yourself drown today…
